Creativity in Chaordic Systems

"Yesterday's solutions are today's problems"

Individuals, organisations and societies are confronted with unpredecented challenges. Not only because of historic fate and the merely simple observation that 'the times are changing', constantly and eternally. They are particularly and exceptionally unpredecented because of their continuously increasing complexity. They are challenges that are subject to a multitude of stakeholders, rapid information processing and numerous subsets of problems and related consequences.

It is only natural (i.e. literally: in the processes of Mother Nature enabled) that systemic transformation is to be discovered on the other side of complexity. The creative solutions can only be of a simple and natural design if they want to sustain and be adaptive and resilient.

Creativity in these chaordic systems is essential. The ability to learn how to (re-)activate our creative potential is key.

Hence, I believe that it is in our educational systems where the most fundamental solution for today's challenges resides.
In our primary and secondary schools, our colleges and universities, but also in our families, and in the training & education departments of our organisations, it is where we ought to learn strategies for coping with unpredictability and 'not-knowing', natural design and chaordic systems.

In this stage of my inquiry I'd say the principle objective for this edcuation in emergence needs to be to inspire and to inform.

~ Inspire, of lat.inspirare (inspiratum): given in by breath / spirit
~ Inform, of lat. informare: give form to

Inspire ~ Inform, Chaos ~ Order, Purpose ~ Structure, Rhythm ~ Relationship, Lead ~ Follow

Through my work, my Chaordic Productions, I hope to contribute to the 'education in emergence' of leaders and managers, first followers and other change agents, entrepreneurs and employees.
